The Mission statement of Heroes Mending On The Fly.
Heroes Mending On The Fly a number of individuals who are dedicated to one mission: each person strives to treat others with respect, dignity, and understanding.
No member is to discriminate against someone because of their race, colour, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age (40 or older), disability, or the gender with which a person identifies.
All beneficiaries of our Program deserve, and are to receive, services from Volunteers sensitive to their needs, dedicated to their success, and who are selfless in their actions.
It is everyone’s responsibility to support one another with passion, diligence, creativity, and good judgment.
Our Coordinators and Volunteers are to carry out their duties transparently and efficiently, and in a collaborative manner.
We treat all those who are involved with Heroes Mending On The Fly as members of our community.
Our accountability to the public, volunteers and veterans is achieved through public dissemination of the activities we plan and provide. Information is posted, either on our website, elsewhere online and on social media networks. Furthermore, where money or equipment and materials are donated, we acknowledge and publicly announce receipt of funds and gifts. Our aim is to carefully monitor and undertake best practices in respect of financial management.
In addition, we operate our Program as closely in manner to a non-profit business with the goal of continuous process improvement.
Heroes Mending On The Fly seeks to bring a high-quality fly fishing and fly tying program to Veteran members of the Canadian Military Services. These veterans are clearly in need of rehabilitation and healing as a result of their service. Our Programs are available as well to First Responder personnel across the Canadian Police and Health Care systems.
We focus our resources wherever the need is greatest and expand our partner base where we can.
vision to be canadian leader Heroes Mending On The Fly Canada aims to become recognized across the country as an important leader in the field of therapeutic outdoor recreation for Veterans through its successful application of the sport of fly fishing as a rehabilitation tool.
Our goal is to succeed in attracting multiple sources of funding that can enable Heroes Mending On The Fly to become financially secure. Furthermore, successfully raising funds would allow our Program to develop our infrastructure to support present and future needs.
Our Project is dependent on dedicated and skilled Volunteers so our goals always include seeking and nurturing new Coordinators and Supporters. As our Project grows its regional programs, our operations and organizational model will adapt and new management tactics will be developed.
We also aim to continue our mission goals relating to accountability in order to remain transparent to those we serve and who support us.
The primary focus of our Vision is always the individual Veteran, Service Member or First Responder to whom we owe so much for their service to Canada.
We strive to be recognized as a leader in Canada of healing and rehabilitation activities for veterans and others in need.
