We are so happy to announce that our Nova Scotia Chapter of Heroes Mending On The Fly has received a 2021 Veterans Ombud Commendation for outstanding service to the community. Thank you so much to our Nova Scotia Provincial Director Ray McEachern and the rest of the HMOTF NS team for their enduring work to make each participant feel like family.
Recently, the members of Heroes Mending on the Fly had the opportunity to participate in some instruction on the theory and practice of European nymphing from an expert – Ivo Balinov. Ivo is an incredibly experienced fly fisherman who has been coaching and instructing for many years.
Patrick Ang, who is a volunteer and our tying ambassador who arranged for Ivo to give us a lesson during our weekly online tying sessions.
